Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh): The Union government should implement the Sachar Committee recommendations for the uplift of the Muslim community, demanded various social activists and representatives of different political parties on 9th May.
This was the consensus view at the seminar on ‘Getting Sachar Committee Recommendations Implemented’ organized in the city by social activist Saleem Qureshi. Addressing the audience that exceeded ten thousand in numbers, speakers expressed the view that since the independence of India various governments came to power and were routed out of power but the conditions of Muslims deteriorate, and this has been confirmed by the Sachar Committee.
Addressing the seminar as chief guest, MP Shahid Akhlaq Qureshi said if the the Union or state government is really sincere for Muslims’ cause, they should honestly implement the Sachar Committee recommendations so that Indian Muslims would realize their due rights.
