Makkah : Muslim World League (MWL) has expressed concern over the escalation of tension among the Lebanese political factions, and warned against turning the differences into an armed conflict.
A statement issued by MWL’s Secretary General Dr Abdullah Al-Turki called on the Lebanese notables, leaders of the political parties and wise people to take into account the higher interests of Lebanon and to opt for dialogue avoiding resort to force for settling their political differences.
He noted that such a development will take place at the expense of the Lebanese people.
