After failure of talks between the parties over the reinstatement of deposed judges, PML-N leader, Nawaz Sharif, in a meeting on Monday decided to end the partnership at the center, official sources told KUNA.

Media reports said that the PML-N federal ministers had already stopped using official vehicles. However, another credible PML-N source said that the decision to resign from the center was not final and still there were chances of patch-up between the two parties.

It may be mentioned here that PML-N had pledged unconditional reinstatement of judges through tabling of a resolution in the parliament. However, PPP has been insisting of Minus-one formula, according to which all 60 judges will be restored except former Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Muhammad Chauhdary.

The two parties held series of talks in the country, Dubai and then London, where they were joined by Richard Boucher, the US Assistant Secretary of State, on Sunday. However, they failed to reach on an agreed formula. The former CJ and President Musharraf are at odds since the later sacked him on corruption charges but the Supreme Court reinstated him.

Iftikhars expected ruling against President Musharrafs candidacy led to proclamation of emergency in the country in November last year.
