Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Suresh Pachouri led a delegation that met Chief Electoral Officer J.S. Mathur Monday and submitted a memorandum urging him to get the errors in the voters’ list and identity cards corrected by organising special camps at the booth level, party officials said.

The delegation, which included state election committee chairman Ajay Singh and opposition leader Jamuna Devi, also demanded that action be taken against those officials involved in preparing the list and identity cards.

“A comprehensive inquiry should be conducted to probe why such a distorted list was prepared and those officials found involved in it should be punished,” a Congress activist said.
