Yemen calls on protecting Palestinian people

Cairo : Yemeni Justice Minister Ghazi al-Aghbari has called for the use of law studies prepared on Israeli crimes and legal mechanisms for protecting Palestinian people in the framework of international legislation.

“For we have integrated in this exceptional meeting … our Palestinian brothers and Arab Nation waiting from us to come with decisions and recommendations equal to dangers the people face”, said al-Aghbari in his speech at the Emergency Meeting of Arab Justice Ministers’ Council concluded here on Wednesday.

He added that silence and turning blind eyes to barbaric crimes Israeli troops carried out against People in Gaza and the West Bank is negative and betrayal attitude encouraging occupation on committing more crimes.

He asserted Yemen’s fixed and clear stance in supporting Palestinian rights in its legal struggle for taking out its stolen rights and denouncing all Zionist practices and destructive crimes against people in Palestine.

Al-Aghbari called on Palestinian leaderships to carry on shoulder their national responsibility and prefer public interest on factional ones.

Meanwhile in SANA’A, Yemeni Minister of Religious Endowment and Islamic Affairs Hamoud al-Hitarmet met on Wednesday Minister of Agriculture and Social Affairs of the Palestinian National Authority Hamoud Sidqi al-Habash.

During the meeting, al-Hitar confirmed Yemeni leadership, government and people’s stand with Palestinian issue and Palestinian people till the liberation of their homeland and the establishment of Palestinian independent state.

He indicated that unity of Palestine forms a base for a united Arab and Islamic attitude toward the Palestinian issue, confirming that Yemen is a supporter of Palestine.

For his part, the Palestinian official hailed assistances by Yemen represented by President Ali Abdullah Saleh who is always interested to support Palestinian issue and unity of the Palestinian people.

On the other side, the Minister met with representative of UN Office in Sana’a Hans and official of Family Planning Program Afrah Thabet.

During the meeting, they discussed mechanisms of national campaign about Family Planning Program bases which to be implemented in six Yemeni governorates of Hodeidah, Aden Mahweet, Hajja, Hadhramout and Ibb as the first step and to be extended to other governorates of the Republic.

The two sides agreed to hold a workshop related to reproductive health and family planning awareness during May 25-26.
