Botswana to Boost Cuban Collaboration

Gaborone : The Minister of Education and Professional Development in Botswana, Jacob Nkate revealed Thursday that his government expects to obtain more collaboration from Cuba.

Nkate emphasized that more perspectives of collaboration have been opened between the two countries after the visit of President Seretse Khama Ian Khama to the island.

The also general secretary of the Botswana Democratic Party (government) referred possibilities of increasing the number of students from his country to the Caribbean nation, among other objectives.

The leader was interested in having young fellow citizens being trained in higher-education in the Antilles nation, especially in health technologies.

According to Cuban ambassador here Jorge Luis Lopez, all those preoccupations will find a respond at the Tenth Session of the Intergovernmental Mixed Commission that will be held in this capital.

Lopez also gave Botswana’s minister an invitation from the Cuban Communist Party to join a working visit to the Caribbean nation.
