Islamabad : US planes with automatic pilots launched rockets against houses in the northern tribal Pakistan district of Bajaur, bordering with Afghanistan, killing 15 people, reported different sources in the capital.
According to Geo TV station, two US spy planes flew over Damadola locality for two days and launched a missile that destroyed a home, a nearby mosque and a boarding house.
The US army, that occupies the neighboring Afghanistan, is the only one in this Asian region with Drone type planes.
Damadola locality, in Bajaur district, was target of a similar attack with missiles by US aviation last January 2006, killing 18.
During the victims burial furious anti-US demonstrations took place when hundreds of people chanted “Kill the US” and “Kill Bush,” Pakistani media reported.
The spokesman from Pakistan, Tehrik-i-Taliban Maulvi Omar declared to Geo TV that without any doubt that air raid was carried out by the US, which wants to hinder the peace process in the tribal areas.
However, the Pakistani military spokesman general Athar Abbas told media that the blast’s origin is still to be determined and assured the national army was not involved.
The attack in Bajaur took place a few hours after rebels and Pakistani authorities made a prisoners exchange before signing a peace agreement in the neighbor tribal district of southern Waziristan.
