New Delhi: Council of Indian Muslims—UK (CIM) has urged the Indian Government to launch an independent inquiry into the series of bomb blasts in Jaipur in which more than 60 people have been killed.
“Mere customary condemnation of these dastardly acts, condolences with the families of the deceased and offering sympathies to the injured is not going to solve the problem. Every sane person should now urge the Indian Government to launch an independent inquiry into these crimes to pinpoint the culprits and bring them to justice. “ CIM’s Chairman Mr Munaf Zeena said in a statement today.
“One really fails to understand what the police and intelligence agencies are doing? We do not remember if any culprit involved in such crimes has ever been found and punished. Every time such a tragedy occurs without any hesitation they start pointing their fingers towards known or unknown Muslim organisations. Is it what they are there for?”
Zeena further said, “We also appeal to the BJP leadership to stop trading in the politics of hatred, refrain from issuing erroneous and irresponsible statements after each tragedy like this and create an environment of suspicion and mistrust between communities. Mr Advani, for God’s sake come to your senses. When a bomb explodes its shrapnel do not ask the victims for their religious identities. They just kill, burn and maim anyone who comes in their way. When inter-communal hatred spreads it harms the country and every community.”
He also said, “As for the terrorists, as we have said before, Indian society is too mature to fall prey to your evil designs. You have targeted mosques, bombed temples, defiled the sanctity of shrines and spilled innocent blood in offices and on roads but by refusing to fall into your trap each time Indians have shamed you. Except blackening your faces with guilt you won’t get anything out of your bloody game.”
