The UAE’s charity had earlier provided cash to enable local aid organizations to buy and deliver urgent relief supplies to the needy, WAM reported. “The RCA had been in close contact with the international agencies to see how this massive human suffering could be ended”, said RCA Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Ali Al Kaabi. He added that the RCA would do more in view of some disturbing reports that humanitarian situation is worsening as international aid continued to trickle. The early May cyclone left up to 100,000 people dead or missing.
