Official sources here said investigations were on to find the mastermind behind Tuesday’s blasts that claimed at least 61 lives, and that it would not be right to prejudge its results.

“We know that those behind the serial blasts want the peace process to be stopped. That will not happen,” an official said.

The terror strike in Jaipur came just a week before External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon travel to Islamabad for talks with the new Pakistani leaders this week.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said the objective of the blasts seemed to disturb the communal situation in the country and prevent normalisation of relations between India and Pakistan.

“We have to be mindful of such nefarious designs and the aim is to adopt right strategies,” he told reporters on return to India after his officiasl visit to Bhutan.
