Riyadh : Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) here monday strongly condemned insult against Glorious Qur’an by Iraq-based US forces.
According to IRNA correspondent at OIC Headquarters, emphasis is made in the communique that using the Holy Qur’an as a target for a shooting contest among US forces, although it has been claimed that a wayward officer has initiated the move, is by no means forgivable.
The OIC has further warned in its communique, “Repetition of such intriguing moves can incite heartfelt sentiments of the world Muslims to levels beyond control.”
The commander of US forces in Iraq excused for the “inappropriate wayward move” of the US officer and sent him back home following the vast scale protests made by Iraqi Muslims against the nasty move.
