Presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan pleased with outcomes of Tehran Conference

Baku : Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan republics said here Monday night during a ceremony for signing a number of documents they are pleased with outcomes of 5 Caspian Sea Littoral Countries Summit.

Turkmenistan’s President Berdymuhammedov during the ceremony expressed satisfaction over the results of the summit, arguing, “The two countries pursue the same policies on the matter.”

President Muhammedev further reiterated, “We are also agreed on the need for continuation of constructive talks among the five littoral countries of the Caspian Sea aimed at drafting that water body’s Legal Regime.”

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, too, said during the ceremony that his country’s joint efforts with Turkmenistan help seek a solution to Caspian Sea Legal Regime problem.

Referring to his talks with his Turkmen counterpart on the matter, he said, “We are both agreed that Tehran Summit was quite fruitful.”
