The central and western parts of Kansas were hit by at least 17 tornadoes Friday alone, the National Weather Service said Saturday.
Two people have been confirmed killed by the tornadoes in Kansas. Their bodies were found in a car in the town of Pratt in south central Kansas, said Sharon Watson, a spokeswoman for the Kansas Adjutant General’s Department.
