Moscow : Russian Vice President Serguei Ivanov assured that demand for Russian civilian planes exceeds output.
At the Board of Directors of United Aeronautic Construction Corporation (OAK), Ivanov said the first gap in post-Soviet era occurred in 2007.
Ivanov who led the Armed Forces’ modernization and member of the strategic Economic Branch, told TV Channel One that the sector grew 16.6 percent compared to 2006: the military by 19.7 percent and the civilian by 10.2 points.
Mijail Pogosian, general director of Sujoi Group, hoped to double the currently confirmed 73 sale orders of Superjet-100 for regional commercial flights this year.
The developers said takeoff for the 65 minute flight at an altitude of 1,200 meters was fine. The jet over flew Konsomolsk Amur airfield at various altitude.
Moscow plans to enter the world market with the Superjet-100 and replace within the Community of Independent States the old Tupolev-134 and Yakovlev-42 designs.
