Israeli incursion into West Bank camp, curfew imposed

Ramallah : Israeli forces enforced Saturday a curfew on Orouba refugee camp, close to the southern West Bank city of Al-Khalil (Hebron).

Witnesses said forces executed an incursion into the camp this morning and imposed a curfew, preventing citizens from leaving their homes.

They added that the Israeli troops searched several Palestinian homes and attacked several civilians.

Israeli forces claimed the military operation came after the troops were stoned from within the camp, while Jewish radio said the army stormed the house of the mayor and arrested a number of Palestinians wanted by Israeli authorities.

In Nablus, Israeli forces executed an incursion into Beit Al-Maa refugee camp and arrested four Palestinians.

Witnesses said the army blasted the gates to three houses, causing damage to the structures.

Meanwhile, Israeli planes waged an air raid on the village of Khazaa, east of Khan Younes, targeting a group of civilians.

Palestinian sources said the planes launched a missile but that no injuries had been reported.
