Thiruvananthapuram : The south west monsoon, which brings the eagerly-awaited rainy season vital for India’s agriculture, set in over the southern state of Kerala Saturday, two days later than the average onset date.
According to the India Meterological Department, the monsoon rains covered most parts of the south Arabian Sea and Kerala as well as some parts of Tamil Nadu and other southern areas. It will move northwards over the next few months.
