Vishnu, a class 8 student, died on the spot at Rahmat Nagar in the Jubilee Hills neighbourhood when the bus conductor pushed him out, police said.

Eye witnesses said the bus conductor got angry as the boy had no change to buy his ticket. The boy sustained head injuries and died on the spot.

Both the driver and conductor of the state-owned Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus fled the scene even as an angry mob damaged the vehicle, police added.
