Chennai : Team ANYA comprising Sriskandarajah, T.K.Vishwanath, Sudhakar Kesavan and K.Vinoth annexed 11 podium finishes, eight first places, one second place and two third places – on the concluding day of the two-wheeler UCAL Rolon racing championship, here Sunday.
The final day of the season commenced in ideal weather conditions. In Group D 4 Stroke 165 cc class, veteran racer Sriskandarajah, starting from pole, was in full cry as he roared away to his first win of the day in Race 1. K. Rajani of Team TVS finished second while Sriskandarajah’s teammate Vishwanath took the third place. It was a repeat show in the second race as Sriskandarajah wrapped yet another win ahead of Harry Sylvester and P.Karthik.
In the Group B 4 stroke 165cc class, Sriskandarajah fought off a stiff challenge from Sylvester to win Race 1. Vishwanath took the honours in Race 2 with second place going to Sriskandarajah while Sylvester settled for a third place finish.
K. Vinoth was in top form in the Group B 4 stroke 260cc class winning both the races while Kesavan registered his first podium doing likewise in the Group D 4 stroke 165cc category.
