New Delhi : Indian healthcare major Advanced Medicare and Research Institute (AMRI) will get $14 million loan from Dutch financial giant Deutsche Investitions-und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG) for capacity expansion, the company announced Monday.
“AMRI is planning to increase its capacity by 2,000 beds within the next five years,” a company statement said.
For this purpose, existing hospitals would be expanded and new ones built. AMRI plans to build a mother-child hospital in Kolkata and another hospital in Orissa’s Bhubaneswar.
The total investment volume is $52 million (Rs.2.4 billion), the statement added.
DEG, one of Europe’s largest development finance institutions, has been active in India since 1964.
