Kashmir youth plays leading role in Malayalam movie

Mumbai : A Kashmir born Shrysh Zutshi has acted as a leading negative role in a recently released Malayalam movie “Kurkeshtra”. The movie is based on Kargil war and is depicting the real story of the Kargil war and Zutshi has played a role of Pakistani colonel in the movie.

Kurukshetra, a movie shows how Indian soldiers fought bravely against Pakistan at Kargil, amidst all kinds of practical difficulties.

Kurukshetra, a movie is a true tribute to the jawans who lost their lives in Kargil and is directed by Major Ravi and lead role is done by Mohan lal.

In a movie Kurkeshtra, Shrysh Zutshi, a Kashmiri Pandit boy has played a role as a Pakstani colonel.

Born in Rainawari (Srinagar) and brought up in Jammu (Akalpur Morh, TalabTillo), Shrysh Zutshi was one of the finalist in Grassim Mr. India 2003 and has acted in another south film Keerthi Charka in 2007, Zutshi, 6’2.5″(187cms) height and has done ramp modeling for LIFW and many designers including Manish Malhotra, Wendel Rodrigues, Aki Narula, Shahid Aamir and has done number of print and TV adds for leading brands of India.

Zutshi, 29 years old has worked as assistant director for a bollywood film called “Shaurya”.

He has also directed two short films namely “Distant Hope” (2007) and “Symphony Of Love and for “Symphony of Love” he was given best director award also.

Speaking to me from Mumbai Zutshi said that he has travelled all across India but he always misses his home place Kashmir.

He further added that ‘he is making a documentary film on Kashmir and on Kashmiri pandits’.

Shrysh Zutshi a cool fun loving person loves to interact with people and is a very easy going person in life. He has done acting course from Anupam Kher’s academy of acting -“Actor Prepares.
