The blast occurred at around 12.30 p.m. in a bathroom, like Friday’s incident. Police suspect low-intensity fire crackers were used.

“It was packed in a glass bottle and exploded in a bathroom on the second floor of the court,” a police official said.

“It appears that some people are trying to disrupt the court proceedings and we are close to nabbing them,” Superintendent of Police (west) Paresh Pandey told IANS over telephone.

District police chief Akhil Kumar ruled out a terror attack and said crackers had caused the blast.

“Firecrackers caused the explosion. Labels of a cracker manufacturing unit, Sivakasi, have been recovered from the site,” he had said after the blast Friday.
