CBI raid on IAS officer for disproportionate assets

New Delhi : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted raids at three residential premises of an IAS officer and registered a case against him for possession of disproportionate assets.

“Searches were conducted at the three residential premises of an IAS officer of 1990 batch (Nagland cadre) yesterday (Wednesday) in Delhi and NOIDA. The CBI had registered a case against the officer for possession of disproportionate assets amounting to Rs.3.7 million,” said a CBI statement.

During the searches, the CBI found documents relating to several movable and immovable properties.

“The CBI found documents related to a flat in sector-62 Noida, a flat in sector-50 Noida, Kisan Vikas Patras worth Rs 1.15 million, foreign currency worth more than 600,000 ($12,165, 250 Euros), 45 foreign liquor bottles and huge investments in bonds/shares/LIC Policy/savings in post offices,” the CBI statement said.

The statement further said, “Documents have been seized with regard to two lockers which are yet to be operated. Further investigation is continuing.”
