New Delhi : A 26-year-old woman was found dead here Sunday, the police said, with her family accusing her husband and in-laws of killing her for not meeting their dowry demands.
Renu, a mother of two, was found dead with blood and froth oozing out of her mouth in her Dwarka residence, the police said.
The police said an anonymous caller informed them Sunday noon that a woman was murdered by her husband and in-laws in Dwarka.
The body bore several injury marks and has been sent for post-mortem examinaion, the police said.
Renu and her husband Devender, married for three years, had some marital discord, the victim’s parental family said, adding that her in-laws were regularly demanding money from them.
The police detained Devender and a magistrate-level inquiry was ordered into the case, the police said.
