“The difficult (part of the) operation at the Oberoi is completed and we believe that the entire operation would be completed in the next one or two hours,” Deshmukh told reporters outside the hotel.

“There could be some injured or dead bodies inside the hotel and we are in the process of clearing it,” said Deshmukh, who was accompanied by his cabinet ministers.

The chief minister said operations at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel were on in full swing.

“There is one terrorist still holed up there and we would soon clear it also,” he added.

Deshmukh praised the combat work carried out by commandos, but lashed out at Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for visiting the site of the operation Thursday.

“We had told him (Modi) not to come and a similar request was also made to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Singh, seeing the situation, accepted our request. No one should try to take political advantage of such terror attacks,” he added.
