India Asks Pakistan for Aid in Mumbai

Islamabad : Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh urged his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani to send Pakistani Intelligence Service Director (ISI) to exchange information about Mumbai attacks.

The information was spread by Geo News TV indicating that the request was done when Gilani called Sighn by telephone to give him his condolences and condemn the tragic event.

Nevertheless, Islamabad has not yet confirmed the request officially.

Indian authorities confirmed the assailants who attacked places in Mumbai in the worst terrorist action in this country have come from Pakistan.

In a message to Indian President Pratibha Patil the Pakistani leader Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the bloody terrorist attacks in Mumbai and expressed his and his government”s readiness to back New Delhi in the investigation.

Zardari also called the president of the Congress Party and ruling United Alliance for Progress Sonia Gandhi to deplore the bloody events as stronger as possible, reported the APP official news agency.

Such violent and terrorist attacks are completely unacceptable in a civilized society, emphasized Zardari in a letter addressed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

A group made up of 25 suicide squads attacked 12 targets in Mumbai during Thursday midnight, specially three places of special importance like hotels Oberoi-Trident, Taj Mahal and Nariman House Residential Complex.

Zardari called for a joint action to fight the common enemy, he said in his letter to Patil.
