Luanda : President of the Cabindan Forum for Dialogue (FDC) Antonio Bento Bembe denied on Monday the rumors of armed clashes in Cabinda, north Angola.
Bento Bembe, minister without portfolio for the new Angolan government, said there is no war in Cabinda but banditry.
“Those responsible for such actions lost the opportunity of holding talks with the government when the Cabinda case was discussed and are now trying to force the situation” said Bento Bembe.
He referred to the leader of the Cabinda Liberation Front, N’zita Tiago who is still at war despite most of the members of that organization supported a peace agreement on August 2006.
