Lucknow : Stockbroking firm Karvy Stock Broking Ltd has announced that it will launch a trading game in association with the Indian Institute of Management-Lucknow (IIM-L), unfazed by the nosedive taken by the equity markets.
“Karvy Online, the live trading game from Oct 27 to Jan 9, aims to test the investment and portfolio management skills of students, corporates and others in a competitive environment,” Karvy vice-president Nitin Saxena said.
The teams taking part in the event will get a chance to manage a portfolio worth Rs.10,000 or more over a period of 11 weeks, he added.
The teams would be allowed to invest in equity, commodities, currency futures (foreign currency) or mutual funds through the online portal www.karvyonline.com, said Karvy officials.
“The participating teams would get to keep their profits they make on their investment and the team that registers maximum profit would win prizes worth Rs.175,000,” said an IIM-L representative.
The online trading game is part of the IIM-L’s annual business conclave called Manfest.
