Kuwait : Kuwaiti National Assembly (NA) Speaker Jassem Mohammad Al-Kharafi wound up the first convening of the second session of the 12th legislative term.
The parliament will resume the session which got underway earlier Tuesday on October 28 and 29.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah inaugurated and addressed the session, then Al-Kharafi made a speech to the MPs.
HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah read the Amiri Address to the MPs.
Askar Al-Anzi and Sa’doun Hammad Al-Utaibi, the two newly-elected MPs swore the oath of office during the sitting in line with Article 91 of the constitution.
MP Radhwan Al-Radhwan was elected NA secretary for the current legislative term, leading his rival Ali Al-Rashed by nine votes.
MP Mohammmad Al-Huwaila was unanimously elected as NA observer.
The MPs also approved nominations for chiefs of 11 parliament committee and the formation of new committees.
