New Delhi : Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Tuesday said the railway recruitment exam that was disrupted by Maharashtra Navnirman Seva (MNS) activists Sunday will be held again.
“We are going to re-organise the examination for the candidates who were not able to appear for the exam because of MNS attacks,” Lalu Prasad said on the sidelines of an international seminar on Emerging Technologies and Strategies for Energy Management in Railways.
On Sunday, many job aspirants, especially those from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, were attacked in more than 13 places in Maharashtra when MNS cadres vandalised railway recruitment centres and tore up examination sheets. MNS chief Raj Thackeray was early Tuesday arrested from Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.
“We will ensure that strict action is taken against MNS activists and Raj Thackeray. We will again bring up this issue in parliament,” Lalu Prasad added.
