After Ricky Ponting’s men were annihilated in Mohali, the Indian women’s team have vowed to continue the onslaught on the Aussies Down Under.

Indian coach Sudha Shah said she was looking forward to the three-week tour which will feature one Twenty20 clash and five one-day internationals.

“When we see how our men performed we would love to do the same thing out here,” Shah was quoted as saying in Daily Telegraph.

India is ranked No.2 in the world behind Australia.

“We’ve come to play good cricket. The main thing is to acclimatise to the conditions and get a look at the set-up (before the World Cup next March).

“Australia are the world champions but if we play good cricket we can beat them,” Shah said.

Making the trip to Australia are India’s No. 1-ranked bowler Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj, the world No. 2 with the bat.
