Iran’s ambassador confers with former Lebanese president

Beirut : On the eve of former Lebanese president Emile Lahoud visit to Tehran, Iran’s ambassador to Beirut conferred with him Monday.

In the meeting, the two sides considered the latest developments in Lebanon and region.

Mohammad Reza Sheybani after the meeting told IRNA “Lahoud’s trip to Tehran is an appreciation to his efforts during his presidency and his resistance against the US and Israel campaigns.

Emile Lahoud accompanied by his wife and son departs for Tehran Monday evening October 27.

He has already said, “Iran, has always and in any situation been with the Lebanese and has supported our nation without any expectation.
