BJS national secretary Inder Prajapati told reporters in Indore his party would not mind fielding Thakur from any seat of her choice in Madhya Pradesh.

Thakur and two of her associates were arrested last week by Mumbai Police for their supected involvement in the near-simulataneous low-intensity bomb blasts in Malegaon in Maharashtra and Modasa in Gujarat on the night of Sep 29.

A total of six people — five in Malegaon and one in Modasa, were killed in these blasts.

Claiming that Thakur was completely innocent, Prajapati said that it was a conspiracy to defame the saint community and the Hindus.

Prajapati also admitted to having talks with Thakur, through her lawyer, and said a final reply from her was still awaited.

“We have had discussions with Pragya (Thakur) through her lawyer in this regard and if she agrees then the party would field her from some important constituency,” he said.

Madhya pradesh goes to polls Nov 27.
