Ghaziabad : A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court Thursday granted bail to Vijay Mandal, one of the three accused of murdering Aarushi Talwar and her domestic help Hemraj on May 16.
Arguing for the release of Vijay Mandal, a domestic help working in the same Noida locality where the Talwars lived, defence counsel Naresh Yadav said the CBI had no substantive evidence against the accused.
The investigating agency has to submit its charge sheet before Sep 10, 2008 to meet the 90-day deadline since the first arrest in the case – that of Aarushi’s father Rajesh Talwar on May 23.
The other two arrested in the case are Krishna, Talwar’s assistant, and Rajkumar, a domestic help working with a family friend.
