Zardari bagged 107 votes, Saeeduzzaman 10, Mushahid 3, four votes declared invalid

Peshawar : Asif Ali Zardari Presidential candidate Pakistan Peoples Party, secured record 107 votes in the NWFP Assembly out of a total of 124 votes polled. Justice (Retd) Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui of PML (N) grabbed 10 votes while Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed of PML (Q) obtained only three votes. While four votes were declared invalid as it were wrongly marked.

Presiding Officer Tariq Pervez, Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court declared the unofficial results after counting of the votes. The votes were counted in the presence of polling agents of the contesting candidates. The PPP law makers shouted slogans of ‘Jiay Bhutto’ in jubilation after unofficial announcement of the results by the Presiding Offcer.
