Ahmedabad : Eight people were killed and 20 others injured when a truck collided with a tractor parked on the roadside in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha district, the police said Wednesday.
The mishap occurred at Mordungri village of Malpur taluka in Sabarkantha district at 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The victims, all in the tractor, were pilgrims returning after visiting the Ambaji temple. The tractor was parked on the roadside when a speeding truck collided with it.
All those killed were from the same family of Damodar Movadi village of Panchmahals district. They were identified as Pravinbhai, Sonabhai, Kukadbhai, Kadubhai, Bhimabhai, Narendrabhai, Pankajbhai and Madhubhai.
