It is believed that the Government of India had requested the Saudi Government to make an increase in the quota for Hajis from India. The Saudi Government is seriously considering the request, says a report in the Urdu daily Rashtriya Sahara.

For Haj this year, 2,75,000 people from India had filed application. About half of them were rejected as the government could not accommodate all. That’s why the Government of India had made the request.
