Head Constable Ram Dayal and Constable Duli Chand were caught red-handed Tuesday when they were accepting the bribe from a Madanpur Khadar resident.

“During interrogation, they named Station House Officer Rajender Kumar and said he had sent them to collect the bribe money of Rs.10,000 from the complainant,” sources in the ACB said.

The policemen were demanding money from the complainant to exonerate him in a case.

“They threatened to implicate me in a false case if I did not pay the money and reported the matter to senior officials,” the complainant told ACB officials.

N. Dilip Kumar, additional commissioner ACB, Wednesday said the three have been arrested on corruption charges.
