Washington : The US has condemned the Sep 13 terrorist attacks in New Delhi and said it stands with and is ready to help India in its ongoing fight to eliminate the scourge of terrorism.
“The United States condemns the terrorist attacks targeting the citizens of New Delhi on Sep 13. There is no justification for the murder of innocent civilians,” State Department Spokesman Sean McCormack said in a statement.
“Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with the families of those killed and injured in these attacks.”
Saturday’s “tragedy serves as a reminder that terrorism does not deter, but unites those committed to peaceful and political means as the guarantor of a free, democratic and prosperous society,” he said.
“We stand with and are ready to assist the government and people of India in their ongoing fight to eliminate the scourge of terrorism,” McCormack added.
