Ranchi : Police will install close circuit cameras (CCTV) in Durga Puja pandals to monitor security.
“We have decided to install CCTV in all puja pandals of Ranchi to keep close watch on the movement of people. We want peaceful celebration and people should enjoy the festival without any fear,” Senior Superintendent of Police M.S.Bhatia said.
The decision to install CCTV was taken in light of rising security threat. Last month, a live bomb was found in Big Bazar of Ranchi. The bomb was defused on time and major incident was averted.
