Islamabad : Rescuers Sunday retrieved the body of Czech Republic’s envoy to Pakistan Ivo Zdarek from the wreckage of the Marriott Hotel here that was attacked by a suicide bomber, officials said.
The death was confirmed by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
A spokesman for the Czech embassy only confirmed that the envoy had been missing since yesterday.
A security official said the body of the ambassador has been handed over to the Czech mission.
