Abdul was arrested Sunday from south Delhi’s Jamia Nagar area for his alleged involvement in the five blasts on Sep 13 that killed 24 people and injured over 100.

He was the caretaker of the L-18 Batla House premises where suspected terrorists Atif and Sajid were gunned down by Delhi Police Friday.

He was booked for criminal conspiracy and forgery and sent to 14-day judicial custody Sunday.

However, his bail plea could not be heard as his lawyer withdraw his vakalatnama – a document by which the party authorises an advocate to represent them.

“I am withdrawing my vakalatnama in the interest of nation,” Advocate Santosh Kumar Suman said in his application.

Link Metropolitan Magistrate Sudesh Kumar allowed the advocate’s plea and posted the matter for hearing Wednesday.

Meanwhile, another advocate Amarnath filed his vakalatnama and will contest Abdul’s bail plea in the court.
