Teheran : The government of Iran considered the most recent resolution of UN Security Council as inadmissible and ratified its decision to continue with uranium enrichment activities with pacific purposes to produce fuel.
On one hand, Iran is determined to enforce its rights in the nuclear area, and on the other hand, works hard so that extra-regional powers do not agitate the area for their own national interests, Foreign Office spokesman Hassan Qashqavi indicated.
Qashqavi, facing UN Security Council deadline to stop its uranium enrichment activities, which without including new sanctions criticize the position of this Persian nation, emphasized that Teheran has left little doubt to continue its nuclear program.
We considered uranium enrichment activities our legitimate right and we think that its suspension is an illegal demand, he added.
He explained that process is necessary to produce fuel and is consecrated like a right in the Treaty of Non-proliferation, of which Islamic Republic is a signatory.
Iran Ministry of Foreign Relations spokesman rejected resolution No 1835 and reiterated that the atomic program of his country does not constitute a threat as to emit resolutions against it.
