Patna: Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind Bihar held annual meeting of its members of Working Board yesterday at Madni Musafirkhana Patna, Bihar under the presidency of Bihar president of JUH, Maulana Moeenudeen Qasmi.
In his welcome speech, Hasan Ahmad Qadri,nazim of Bihar JUH, said that Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has been guiding Muslim community positively about national and milli affairs. “Today secular people are confused about upcoming parliamentary elections. Therefore, JUH consider its responsibility to guide people to the right way” he said.
Later the meet expressed sorrow on divergence of secular parties (UPA) alliance and called it tragedy for the nation. It appealed to all secular people for casting their votes wisely to protect secularism and democracy in the country and not to benefit communal parties and its candidates by dividing secular votes.
The meeting also felt sorry on secular parties’ candidates fighting each others and asked people especially minorities that in such conditions they should vote for any winnable secular candidate.
The meeting considered it necessary to make efforts for the success of secular and clean leaders.
Seeing the improper representation of Muslims in parliament, the meeting pressed to vote for Muslim candidates wherever they are in winning position otherwise to support unitedly any secular candidate.
The meeting was attended by many scholars and leaders including Maulana Mukarram Hussani, Maulana Ishaque, maulana Mashhood Qasmi, Suhail Ahmad Khan, the chairmen of minority commission, Shamael Nabi, former minister of Bihar, Dr. Inam Zafar Shamshi etc.
