Shimla : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Friday conducted a raid in the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur town, officials said.
“The raid was conducted this (Friday) morning to check some documents in the NIT,” CBI Superintendent of Police R. Upasak told IANS by phone.
“The raid is on� I can’t comment too much,” he said.
Sources in the NIT said the raid was conducted to ascertain facts about the recruitment of lecturers in the college last year.
NIT director I.K. Bhatt was not available for comments.
