New Delhi : Delhiites had to brave the scorching heat Monday as the national capital sizzled with the day temperature soaring above 40 degree Celsius, the weatherman said.
“The day temperature today (Monday) touched 41.5 degree Celsius – a good three degrees above normal. According to our forecast, the temperatures will remain almost the same over the next few days,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
“This is because of the western disturbances over Jammu and Kashmir,” the official added.
The minimum temperature recorded early Monday was a normal 23.5 degree Celsius.
