Giriraj Singh, a resident of Palam Village, was found stabbed to death in the parking area of Delhi Metro’s Dwarka Sector-9 station.

“My father was resting in his office Sunday evening when he received a call on his mobile phone. He left saying he would be back soon. But when he did not return, we registered a case with the police.

“From his phone call details, it was found that a rickshaw puller Pramood had called him on the directions of one Jai Bhagwan,” Vijay Singh, son of Giriraj, told reporters here.

“Pramood told the police that Jai Bhagwan had paid him Rs.2,500 to call my father,” he added.

A police officer said: “Our initial investigation points towards personal enmity. We are questioning Pramood, Jai Bhagwan and his friend Amit for their role in the incident.”

However, the officer refused to comment on their likely arrest.

“Investigations are in early stage and we are yet to establish their role in the case,” the officer added.
