Jammu: Four persons including a woman made abortive bid on their lives by consuming piousness substance at separate places in Jammu region, while one sustained injuries in an assault case at Narwal last night.
Police told News Agency of Kashmir that Bachan Lal son of Ram Sroop resident of Karloop in Gajanso made abortive bid by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence.
Sources said that he was found unconscious by the family members in his room and they immediately rushed him to the Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu for treatment.
Meanwhile, in another case Jyoti wife of Romesh resident of Ramgarh also consumed poisonous substance at her residence. Family members said that she was shifted to the GMC for treatment, where doctors declared her condition as critical.
In similar other incidents, Sanjay Bakshi son of Sita Ram resident Paloura Toka, and Narinder Pal Singh son of Smail Singh resident of Samba also attempted to end their lives.
Both of them were rushed to the GMC under unconscious condition. Police have registered cases in the concerned police stations and have started inquest proceedings in the cases.
Police told News Agency of Kashmir that Manu son of Lal Man resident of Nepal at present Narwal sustained injuries after he was attacked and injured by some unidentified miscreants last night at Narwal.
He was shifted to the GMC for treatment immediately after the incident took place. Police have registered a case at police station Narwal and have started investigation in it.
