Lucknow : Congress general secretary and Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi will be visiting his constituency Monday and stay there for three days, the state party unit said Sunday.
Gandhi will reach the Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited plant in Jagdishpur to inaugurate a unit around 11 a.m. Monday.
State Congress spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh told IANS that on Tuesday Gandhi would lay the foundation stone of a private primary school named after former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi in the Pakargaun village of Tilohi suburbs.
The school is an initiative of a Congress worker in the Amethi constituency.
Gandhi will visit a branch of the Indian Institute of Information Technology in the Tikarmaphi locality Wednesday to give away degree certificates to the first batch of students passing out from the institute. The institute is based in Allahabad and has a branch in Tikarmaphi.
He will also pay surprise visits to a number of villages of his constituency during his stay in Amethi, Singh added.
