The meeting observed that the diaspora play a very important role in earning foreign money for the country. Denying them the right to vote, just because they live abroad for employment requirements, is gross injustice. Several European countries provide facilities for voting for their citizens living in other countries. The state committee asked the central government to make ample provisions for the Indian citizens anywhere in the world to vote in elections.

The meeting also formulated plans to empower and expand the party in Kerala. The formation of Panchayat committees and branches in the ward level will be completed within a month. It was also decided that foot marches would be organized in the Panchayat level on October 11 and rallies in the area level on October 18th.

The meeting was presided over by Adv KP Muhammed Shareef, president, of the party. MK Manoj Kumar, general secretary, read the report. Secretary P Abdul Majeed Faisy, PK Gopinathan, Dr Saeed, O Aliyar, VT Iqramul Haq, PK Radha, Fat’hudheen Rashadi, Moovattupuzha Ashraf Moulvi and P Ahmed Shareef spoke.
