The decision was taken at the ACA’s general body meeting in Vijayawada. All the members unanimously passed a resolution to remove Chamundeshwarnath, who was the Indian team’s manager in the Twenty20 World in England.

The meeting was chaired by ACA president G. Gangaraju and attended by 35 members.

Chamundeshwarnath had already been suspended by ACA when allegations of corruption and sexual harassment surfaced against him.

Meanwhile, police continued their probe into the allegations against Chamundeshwarnath. The police have booked a case against him.

Additional Director General of police M. Ratan, who conducted an inquiry, recommended that Vijayawada police should conduct further probe.

The official was appointed in June after six women cricketers met Home Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy and complained that Chamundeshwarnath sought sexual favours to select them in the team.

Chamundeswarnath has denied the allegations saying it was a conspiracy by his rivals in the ACA. Chamundeswarnath was appointed as the ACA secretary in July 2007.
